طائرات الموت تلاحق تنظيم القاعدة في شرق اليمن وسط تصاعد الهجمات الجوية

كثفت الطائرات الأمريكية من غاراتها الجوية ضد من يُشتبه بانتمائهم لتنظيم القاعدة في محافظات مأرب وشبوة وحضرموت، شرق اليمن، خلال اليومين الماضيين، ما أسفر عن مقتل ثلاثة عناصر على الأقل، في تصعيد يُعدّ من أبرز العمليات الجوية خلال الفترة الأخيرة.
في مساء الأحد، استهدفت طائرة بدون طيار – يُعتقد أنها أمريكية – شخصًا يُشتبه بانتمائه للقاعدة في منطقة العبر شمال محافظة حضرموت. شهود عيان أفادوا بأن الغارة كانت دقيقة وأدت إلى تمزق جسده وتناثر أشلائه على الفور.
أما مساء السبت، فقد شنّت طائرة مسيّرة غارة جوية على مركبة في مدينة عتق، عاصمة محافظة شبوة، كان يقودها يمني يُعتقد أنه أحد عناصر القاعدة. الضربة كانت موجهة بدقة وأصابت المركبة مباشرة، في وقت لم تُصدر فيه السلطات المحلية أي تعليق رسمي حتى الآن.
وفي محافظة مأرب، قُتل عنصر ثالث مساء الجمعة بغارة مماثلة، بعد أن رصدته طائرة بدون طيار في صحراء شرق المحافظة. كان برفقة ثلاثة آخرين نجا جميعهم من الاستهداف، بحسب ما أفاد شهود عيان من المنطقة.
وفي حادثة منفصلة وغير مرتبطة مباشرة بالغارات، قُتل عنصر رابع يُعتقد أنه من تنظيم القاعدة، ويحمل الجنسية السعودية ويُدعى "أحمد القحطاني"، بعد تعرضه لإطلاق نار مباشر من شخص مجهول في ساحة أحد المساجد بمنطقة الحدباء في محافظة مأرب. شهود أكدوا أن مطلق النار كان على متن مركبة وفرّ من المكان عقب الحادثة، فيما لم تعلن السلطات الأمنية أي تفاصيل أو توضيحات حتى لحظة كتابة الخبر.
هذا التصعيد الجوي يعكس على ما يبدو تصعيدًا في الحملة الأمريكية ضد الجماعات المصنفة إرهابية في اليمن،بمافيها جماعة الحوثؤ، في ظل تزايد التحركات الاستخباراتية وتعقّب الأهداف المتحركة في المناطق المفتوحة والنائية شرق البلاد.

Deadly Drones Hunt Al-Qaeda in Eastern Yemen Amid Intensified U.S. Strike

In a sharp escalation, U.S. drone strikes have intensified over the past two days, targeting suspected members of Al-Qaeda in the eastern Yemeni provinces of Marib, Shabwa, and Hadramout. At least three individuals have been killed in the series of precision attacks, marking one of the most active aerial operations in recent months.
On Sunday evening, a suspected U.S. drone strike killed a Yemeni man in the Al-Abr area of northern Hadramout. Eyewitnesses reported that the explosion was devastating, scattering the victim's remains across the site.
Just a day earlier, on Saturday night, another drone — believed to be American — launched a targeted strike on a vehicle in Ataq, the capital of Shabwa province. The driver, reportedly affiliated with Al-Qaeda (designated as a terrorist organization globally), was killed instantly. No official statement has been released regarding the incident.
On Friday night, a third suspected Al-Qaeda operative was killed in the desert east of Marib when a drone strike hit his location. He was accompanied by three others, all of whom survived, according to eyewitness accounts.
In a separate and unrelated incident, another suspected Al-Qaeda member, identified as Saudi national Ahmad Al-Qahtani, was shot and killed in a mosque courtyard in the Al-Hadba area of Marib. The gunman, reportedly traveling in a vehicle, fled the scene after firing multiple rounds. Local security forces have yet to comment on the incident.
This wave of drone operations underscores a renewed U.S. focus on counterterrorism efforts in Yemen, targeting high-value operatives in remote and strategic locations across the country's east.
